A congregational meeting was held on May 18, 2025. Here are some updates!

 

Deaconship

The congregation heard a report from Mark Nocero, who is working towards becoming a synodical deacon. His work is with other congregations across multiple conferences on mission, vision, and leadership.

 

RIC

A welcome statement was adopted, making Calvary a Reconciling in Christ congregation, pending approval by ReconcilingWorks. This was the fourth and final criteria for Calvary to meet.

 

Constitution

The congregation approved an update to the constitution, which you can read HERE. The next step is to ratify the amendments at the annual meeting of the congregation, after which it will be submitted to the Bishop’s office for approval.

 

Cell Tower Lease

A resolution was adopted allowing church council to negotiate and sign an easement deal for Calvary’s cell tower. This will provide long-term, stable income well into the future. Read the resolution HERE. Updates on this process to come.

 

Renovation

A preliminary renovation plan was approved. This will allow construction drawings to be made, finalizing details, and costs to be determined and presented to the congregation at a future meeting.
