Education
From nine months to ninety years, Calvary has an opportunity for you. Sunday School, confirmation, and Bibles & Brews are just some of the ways this congregation continues to grow and learn in their faith.
Care
Calvary nurtures people through home visits, nursing home ministry, staying connected, and sending cards to celebrate people and remind them they're loved in hard times. Is there something we can pray for?
Equity
When we say we welcome all, we mean it! Calvary affirms your identity as God-given and good. We are working on making this welcome more public in the way we live as community.
Youth
Young people are an important part of Calvary's community, and there is a rich history of youth ministry here. Check this space as we reimagine this ministry as more young people continue to get involved!
Join Us
Being a member means this is the community you live out your faith from. On specific Sundays throughout the year, the community gets to surround new members with prayer and affirmation.
Team
It takes a team of passionate, Jesus-loving people to shepherd Calvary's ministry. We're a fun bunch that loves this ministry and its people, and we can't wait to meet you!
History
A lot has happened since 1965.
Become part of the Lutheran witness in Hauppauge! In the meantime, feel free to learn about where we've been as a church and where God is calling us.
Partners
Ministry doesn't happen alone, and Calvary has
a number of partners that we support!
The seminary trains church leaders in Philadelphia, Gettysburg, and online. We love having seminarians, faculty, and staff enrich the life of our ministry!
Pinecrest is the nation's longest running outdoor youth and young adult ministry. A leadership training camp for people ages 15-25, Calvary has been sending campers for generations!
Our region of churches is known as a synod. We are church together with our bishop's office and all the Evangelical Lutheran congregations from Poughkeepsie to the tip of Long Island. We love when the bishop comes to visit Calvary!
